ITS A LONG ENTRY
After so long, i'm here to share with u all more details about my diving trip. Its been awhile u asked, ahahah, i have my reasons las. After all the hype and excitement, the diving trip was really no "dive" (in football terms).
On my first occasion to lead the group down the sea, i was a nervous crack. Cos i was like suppose to go down to the sea bed first and wait for the rest who will come down one by one. ITS scary , with a cap S! I went down and couldn't equalise(means to have the same pressure inside compared to the surrounding in layman terms) at like 3m below the top. Being nervous, i held my breathe which is a big no no in diving. And when i realised tt, i panic and start taking in big gasps randomly which miraclously solved my equaliser problem. =) But my advanture is not over yet as i decided to scare myself when i kept thinking i couldn't see the bottom at all. All the small sand particles due to my finning are blocking my view of the bottom completely. So i panicked again and look up which i only see my masked buddy pointing down down all the time. But when the sand settles, what awaits me is what i DIN expect. I saw a (part) of a ship wreck and on side/top of it, is a bed of coral reefs and lotsa of colourful sea plants sorts. =D
And on the 2nd day of the dive, i came the closest i ever will be to be a mermaid. *big grins* We went to the MARINE PARK to feed the fishes. Nope, we din do it above the sea level, but way BELOW!! haha. WE all got down to form a line and with the mashed bread we brought down with us fed the fishes. In no time, we were surrounded with lots of fishes. And being me, the making the $$ (bread) worth it personality, i decided to held on to the bread instead of throwing the bread randomly and see them gulp them down too fast. Heheh, so afterawhile i was feeling the beautiful numbling of the fishes at my fingers. =-) beautiful sight & a great feeling.
There were a superman and a superwoman in my group. The superwoman is me! WHy? Cos we simply find it too difficult to stay with the rest at the bottom. Too many a times, we find ourselves like the superheores heading upwards. =P
Diving can be quite romantic i guess.. .. with everyone dressed in their minimal beach wear , the sun setting , the cool sea breeze, the slimmering green/blue sea colour & the unknowns as u dive below with yr buddy. It can be R when we are wearing one glove each on our respective left and right hand, and holding hand with our other hands. It can be romantic if u have only each other down 15m where there's basically u & him tog all the time. It can be romantic to know that there's someone you have to depend on. It CAN be, but its not if u are not with THE person. =) WHich explains why i think my buddy fall alittle too easily, bcos of the beautiful circumstances.
This trip i was also asked if i was "straight or bi?". Haha, though it was kind of expected with the situation around, i almost choked . Okay, i was only stumped for like ermh, 2 thoughts. Then i gave the straight forward ans. =) And to the few who knows my secret curiousity, its was quite funny that it happens. woahhahahha.. their type? I sat for about an hr alone at the harbour on our last evening at tioman. I couldn't go back to the room cos i have alr given the room key to my roomate who was with her group of friends and my buddy whom all stopped talking & laughing when i came to the table to pass her the room key. Not good feeling, which just make me more determined to head out with my camera and just take pictures even if i am going to be alone. Very stubbornly..I sat at the bench and could see the reefs cos of the low tide and the clear water. I saw kids jumping carefreely over the harbour and fishing. I saw divers dragging back to the shore with their 11kg cylinder tank. I hear the boats running. I saw sunset. I see tourist walking barefooted and enjoying the moment. And i envy them.I see a few lone ones clicking away with their cameras. And i ask why i can't be like them? I see couples strolling the long bridge at the harbour hand in hand, stopping only to take pictures. And i felt alone. BLEAH! Guess what i did next, find a cute guy and watch the stars tog? haahhaa, nope. I did what i do best. I cried. I actually cried on a holiday trip? I still can't believe i did that. =) Wanted to go home but could only seek consolution from yen who existed only as "PORKCHOP" in my sms. =) On the bright sight, i guessed after the self pity stage its the acceptance stage. So i went back to the bbq party, and decided that only i could change my "oh-so-lonely" situation. So i open up and things got a whole lot better. And i did felt like i was seeing things in a pea hole earlier, if only yen wake up my senses earlier =
Out of my head-fast ball
Sometimes I feel
Like I am drunk behind the wheel
The wheel of prosperity
However it may roll
Give it a spin
See if you can somehow factor in
You know theres always more than one way
To say exactly what you mean to say
Chorus:Was I out of my head?
was I out of my mind?
How could I have ever been so blind?
I was waiting for an indication
It was hard to find
Dont matter what I say only what I do
I never mean to do bad things to you
So quiet but I finally woke up
If youre sad then its time you spoke up too
In diving, there's this term called the "big leap forward". Its what you do the moment when you enter the sea from the boat back. You stand all equipped and with yr right hand holding yr mask and regulator and yr left hand onto yr weight belt & looking at the ahead at the far distance, U take a big stride forward. I thought i wouldn't be able to do it. But i was wrong. Its seem easier and much addictive now that i tried it. Maybe its the knowing that i still have a inflated life jacket on and a 200atm of air supply on me..I guess like for any big leap forward in life, it works the same way. =)
