The Mission was a success =) FULL STRENGTH and it was great despite the late start and hunger pangs. The long table vs the 2 round tables. *) It was a night to remember simply cos of all who are present . Thanks gals, esp val, for making that extra effort =)Saturday end on a high note for me, cos i get yen to put aside whatever misgiving (no matter how correct she is) and listen to what i have to say. And on my part, i get her talking about her and as we tries to navigate through this not-so-new but ever so interesting discussion, i realised more than before that her affirmation matters to me more than anyone else. Oh and we decided tanah merah the place to stay, cos of the no. of cuties living in the area. HAHA, and the last bus14 is the ride to take for an overdose of candies. *)We all learn words for the strangest reason. I remember when i first learn the word "crude", i din remember it cos it was in our geography textbook (crude oil) but i know and remember the word cos it was the email address of someone i like. I hate literature back in Secondary school but loved the word "ironic" which i picked up cos of lit. the irony. Lotsa of other examples which i can't think of offhand now.Words has always been the thing that makes me tick. Not action.(in relative) I watched movies for interesting , witty /& inspiring dialouges and felt its worth the money whenever i get my dose, its just makes up for the lack of plot or bad acting totally. It has been tried and tested that actions doesn't move me as much as words. That a sentence from the author that makes me believe he/she understands, or simply can make me want to reread the sentence again, makes it a good book already. There's the story of 3 business men who has to sell their products to the KING of a country. After promoting their special and great products, they were asked by the KING, "How good really is yr product?"1st man: My product is so good, i can give you a lifetime warranty. If there's anything go wrong, you can always return it.2nd man: My product is so good, you won't need a lifetime warranty even. My product is the best of the three, as you can already see.3rd man: My product is good. Let me tell you what other great products i can make for you. .. .. (and proceed to impress the KING with out of the world ideas)Eventually the KING choose the 3rd man, simply cos of what he can promise to make. painting a beautiful picture of the future. This is a story thought up by me. Inspired by whats happening around me and written on a train journey home. Yen had a different take on the story, and not surprisingly she choose the 1st man. She is the action more than word gal, unlike me. She thought the 2nd man was a liar and the 3rd arrogant. Obviously, i dun see it that way.. ahahha YOU?
